Outings – Leisure | Marseille: catering, afterworks and parties are preparing to bring the new Massilia Beach spot to life
Notice to lovers of good food, afterworks and cozy evenings, but also festive with friends, a new place is ready to receive the Marseillais and others. The latter is called Massilia Beach and takes place on the roof of the Prado Shopping center, next to the Orange Vélorome and consists of two spaces to multiply the pleasures: a closed restaurant below and a rooftop upstairs. The restaurant opened on November 29 exactly. Customers can already enjoy healthy meals for lunch and dinner with avocado toast, poke bowl, egg Bénédicte, but also porn food with burgers, hot dogs, candied pork shoulders, steak … Thomas Fournier, the owner of the place and Jérémy Dauga, the manager, wanted a menu in tune with the times, capable of satisfying every desire. “There is no right measure. There is something for everyone and all tastes. Sometimes we want to eat light and other times we also want a good dripping burger. It’s good too“, Thomas book. In the kitchen,”three young women full of good ideas and full of good wills“will share the stoves.
This season the restaurant offers three evenings in the form of afterwork and one evening with a DJ per week (when sanitary measures allow), because if the place wants to be cozy, the two men also want to associate it with a festive atmosphere. It must be said that the bohemian decoration made of wooden table and chairs, plants, pampas, white … lends itself as well to relaxation as to party. The spirit of the beach reigns and even more on the rooftop which will be available to the public from April 2022, with the approach of sunny days, to allow their customers to fully enjoy the festive afterworks, which will be offered to all. evenings from Monday to Saturday and the three weekly evenings with music group or DJ. “What we want is to succeed in creating an atmosphere where people feel good. We want to make the place a place where we can have fun, enjoy a good start to the evening quietly but which can quickly move throughout the evening“, continues Thomas.
Upcoming brunches and tea time
For the time being, the place is closed on Sundays, but the two men who have been working on this big project for more than a year, long before the arrival of the Covid, wish to offer brunches in the future. “We will also develop the Tea Time side with good pastries, good coffee in the morning and in the afternoon.“So will Massilia Beach become the new favorite place of Marseilles?
