PARIS, December 7 (Reuters) – Stocks to follow Tuesday on the Paris Stock Exchange and in Europe:
* VEOLIA VIE.PA, SUEZ SEVI.PA – The British competition authority has expressed concern about the risk that the merger between the two groups could harm competition in the waste treatment market in the United Kingdom.
* STELLANTIS STLA.PA STLA.MI announced on Tuesday that it would target four billion euros in additional annual turnover thanks to products and subscriptions based on software embedded in its vehicles by 2026 and 20 billion by 2030.
* WORLDLINE WLN.PA announced on Tuesday the takeover of 80% of the merchant acquisition activities of the Greek bank EUROBANK.
* SAFRAN SAF.PA – The aeronautical equipment supplier Safran announced on Monday that it had entered into exclusive negotiations with a view to the acquisition of Orolia, a company specializing in positioning and navigation solutions for civil and military activities, of which Eurazeo EURA.PA is shareholder.
* ENGIE ENGIE.PA announced on Monday that it had been selected, with its partner the RATP group, to manage the cooling network of the city of Paris within the framework of a 20-year concession which covers in particular production, storage, transport and distribution of refrigeration energy.
* TELECOM ITALIA TLIT.MI announced Monday evening that it had appointed Goldman Sachs and Lion Tree to advise it on the takeover offer presented by the American fund KKR KKR.N and to assess any potential “strategic alternative” to ensure its development.
* ABB ABBN.S announced on Tuesday, on the occasion of a presentation day to investors, to aim for an acceleration of the growth of its turnover and an improvement of its operational profitability.
* GLAXOSMITHKLINE GSK.L said on Tuesday that sotrovimab, its treatment for COVID-19, remained effective against the Omicron variant according to early in vitro test results.
* VOLKSWAGEN VOWG_p.DE – The conflict between Herbert Diess, the chairman of the Volkswagen management board, and employee representatives in the group’s management bodies seems to be resolved and Herbert Diess will probably remain in office, a source informed Monday close to discussions.
* VERALLIA VRLA.PA – The former Saint-Gobain SGOB.PA subsidiary announced on Monday that its board of directors had decided to separate the functions of chairman and chief executive officer with effect at the end of the general meeting shareholders of May 11, 2022. Michel Giannuzzi will be chairman of the board of directors and Patrice Lucas general manager, specifies the French group specializing in packaging.
* ARKEMA AKE.PA – JP Morgan downgraded its recommendation to “neutral” from “outperformance”.
