Government and LCCI discussed challenges – Liechtenstein
SCHAAN – On Monday the government and the board of directors of the Liechtenstein Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LIHK) met for an exchange on current business issues. The focus of the discussions is on the experiences and challenges of the corona pandemic.
The annual autumn meeting between the government and the executive board of the Liechtenstein Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LIHK) was held this year in a small setting at “pepperMINT” in Schaan due to the tense corona situation. The government was represented by Prime Minister Daniel Risch, Deputy Prime Minister Sabine Monauni and Government Secretary Horst Schädler. On the part of the LIHK, President Klaus Risch, Vice President Fabian Frick and Managing Director Brigitte Haas took part in the meeting.
After the welcome by Prime Minister Risch and LCCI President Klaus Risch, the representatives of the current challenges facing LIHK member companies in the Covid 19 pandemic could be discussed. According to the notification, the LIHK informs about the experiences of the member companies, especially with regard to operational tests and home office.
Government sets sustainability as a goal
Sustainability was also on the agenda. The government has given sustainability a special place in the government program for 2021 to 2025. This is one of the eleven guidelines of government work in the current legislative period: “Ecologically sustainable government action”. The government is committed to ensuring sustainability and organizing government action in a sustainable manner.
