“The decision to keep Contacta online again this year was exactly the right one,” report FH managing director Doris Walter and FH managing director Raimund Ribitsch. “The career fair of the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences is THE networking platform for students and companies. At the fair, doors open to interesting employers who, in addition to jobs, also offer topics for bachelor or master theses, internships or career offers after graduation. “
Job fair at the cutting edge
More than 45 companies from industries are presented online on a virtual exhibition stand. On the days of the fair, students had the opportunity to lead with companies and take part in company presentations. A highlight was the opening lecture by Ulf Häfelinger, mental trainer at FC Red Bull Salzburg, who delighted students with tips on motivation and goal achievement.
New functions make it easier to contact you
Using the match-making function, students had the opportunity to make appointments for meetings with the company Wahl in advance. At the same time, the exhibitors were able to view the profiles of the registered students and, if interested, contact them in advance.
The positive response from the exhibitors shows that the fair also works “online”: “For Wüstenrot, Contacta is one of the most important career fairs of the year”, says Evelyn Breitenbaumer from the Wüstenrot Group. “We were able to have many conversations with interesting students via the virtual format and get them excited about our company.”
