“We would not like to face ‘bad debt'”
Osla: “State budget, strong for sustainability”
“(…) If it is confirmed as it would seem that the 340 million euros in securities in cassated by the State in February 2021 were spent to pay the current expenditure, as well as repaying previously contracted loans, it means that at the expiry of the contracts, in early 2024, we will have to hire new debt to pay the one already contracted and that the resources will not be used to revive the economy but to support current spending, thus postponing the reforms necessary for our system. We would not like to be faced with what is defined as ‘bad debt’ that is not used to finance the investments necessary to create jobs, income with positive repercussions for tax revenues. As a trade association we express great concern in the face of the scenario envisaged. (…)“, Declares the OSLA in a statement.
