Naples pays tribute to Maradona by taking the lead alone
The “Naples” are three points ahead of AC Milan, beaten at home by Sassuolo (3-1) earlier Sunday as part of this 14th day.
After the inauguration of a first statue of Maradona in front of the old stadium St.Paul Thursday, a second was presented before the meeting within the walls of Naples.
In the pouring rain, the Neapolitans, who still sported a jersey with the image of Maradona, passed away a year ago at the age of 60, quickly made the difference, marking three goals in the first thirty minutes.
The Polish guy Piotr Zielinski quickly opened the scoring (7th) with a shot from the left in the box, then the Belgian striker Dries Mertens scored a brace, with two beautiful hits coiled up who fooled the veteran keeper Pepe Reina, after a series of hooks first (10th) and from outside the box (29th).
At the end of the match, the Spaniard Fabien Ruiz went there in turn of his coiled strike, but from the left this time, for the 4-0 final (85th).
Naples, yet without several injured or sick holders (Osimhen, Ounas, Politano, Anguissa, Zanoli), has thus strong reacted well after his two defeats in a row, in Milan against Inter (3-2) in the league (his only one of the season in Serie A) and in Moscow against Spartak (2-1) in the Europa League on Wednesday.

The Milanese were however the first to be put into action by Romagnoli, who opened the scoring with a header on a well-played corner (21st).
Response from Sassuolo wasted no time, and what a response! With a clear strike from within, Gianluca Scamaca found the skylight of Mike Maignan and equalized (24th).
The Italian striker was behind the second but his own, seeing his ball, repelled by the doorman english from Milan, to be sent at the bottom of its own nets by the defender Simon kjaer (33rd).
Without solution, four days after their success against Atlético Madrid (1-0) in the Champions League, the Rossoneri saw their opponents widening the gap by Berardi, author of a superb goal: after a devastating dribble on Romagnoli, the winger slipped the ball between the legs of Maignan (66th).
