Welfare Awards assigned Today 2021
As part of the thirteenth edition of the Forum of Non-Self-Sufficiency and Possible Autonomy, organized by the Maggioli Group in Bologna from 24 to 25 November, the awards of the Welfare Today 2021 Award were conferred on Thursday 25 November. The Forum is aimed at and to the operators of personal services and those who take care of non self-sufficient people and The Welfare Today 2021 Award, which is reconfirmed in its second edition, intends to contribute to the enhancement and knowledge of virtuous paths present in the territories. The first place was assigned to the project “Protected cohabitation for people with mental and social discomfort – Supported cohousing and inclusion of fragile subjects”, ‘inclusion and health care. The cohabitations, organized in small nuclei of 2 to 6 people, are located in the urban city fabric and are supported on a daily basis by operators and volunteers from the Third Sector, while the guests are taken care of by the mental health services and by the local health services. The second prize was awarded to the Team of Community Health Promoters, Piazza dei Colori, conferred by Ausl Bologna, in collaboration with the Welfare and Community Wellness Promotion Area of the Municipality of Bologna and the San Donato-San Vitale District Network Office. The project was born in Bologna, in the San Donato-San Vitale district where the first experimentation started. Third place ex aequo in the projects “Supporting Every Family In Autonomy” presented by SOFIA Srl of the province of Gorizia and “Piossasco: a community that takes care” presented by APS La Bottega del Possibile of the province of Turin. The SOFIA project is aimed at granting the domicile of those living in situations of difficulty or fragility, through home automation solutions, the Internet, connections between “everyday use able to make intelligent” objects and really support the person’s home and guarantee, at the same time , privacy and security. The Bottega del Possibile, on the other hand, proposes the experimentation of innovative models in care paths and in support services at home for the elderly population, through participatory processes that involve the community, public subjects and the social private sector. The Forum this year focused on Technological Innovation for the Social Health and Welfare within the PNRR. More than 40 meetings and training workshops that, in the two days, followed one another to highlight how the technological field, which conditions society in the digital transformation, is also applicable to the social and health care sector. Among others, Senator Barbara Guidolin, Avv. Cassationist Luca Degani, Prof. Cristiano Gori, professor of social policy and coordinator of the Non Self Sufficiency Network (NNA) and Prof. Marco Trabucchi, President of the Italian Association of Psychogeriatrics.
