Spain brings sunshine to Zurich and Bern
On November 23, 24 and 25, the roadshow ‘Spain Reloaded 2021’, organized by the Spanish Tourist Office, took place in Geneva, Bern and Zurich. On November 23 and 24, respectively, over thirty travel professionals met 19 partners in Geneva and Bern and exchanged views on the latest news in Spain.
Yesterday evening, on November 25th, the tour ended in Zurich in the Zunfthaus zur Meisen. Horacio Diaz del Barco, Director of the Spanish Tourist Office in Switzerland, is pleased about the almost 90 participants. “This roadshow is a very special event for us, as it is the first event we have organized in more than a year where we can all meet again in person,” says Diaz del Barco at the beginning of his welcoming address.
Unfortunately, the future is still uncertain and no one knows how the pandemic will develop. With this occasion, Spain would like to convey a message of trust all the more: Spain is a safe travel destination.
Under the special circumstances, the Switzerland director is satisfied with the figures for the summer in Spain and looks to the next year with optimism. «The tourist summer season in Spain went relatively well. Spain recorded almost 15 million international visitors in the summer quarter of July to September, 136% more than in the previous year – but still 50% fewer than in 2019. »
19 partners from all over Spain
The Spanish Tourist Office set up this three-day roadshow in collaboration with 19 partners from all over Spain. There were:

Around 90 travel professionals came to the Zunfthaus zur Meisen in Zurich to meet them. A flying dinner was then served and nine prizes were raffled off in a competition from eight partners, including those from Ibiza, Iberia and Mallorca.
