MARSEILLE: Volotea flies to Algeria
Volotea, the airline of European regional capitals, will launch a new line in December from Marseille airport to Oran in Algeria and will offer a total of 70,000 seats per year.
As of December 2021, Volotea will add Oran to its list of destinations available from Marseille airport. The airline will offer two flights per week for the holidays until January and will offer around 70,000 seats on this route per year.
A new line which will be in operation from 16 2021 and which will be added to the 22 already existing lines at Marseille airport.
Tickets are open for sale in France on the Volotea site and on all distribution channels.
This new line positions Volotea as the second company at Marseille Provence airport in terms of destinations served, which has been the company’s 5th base in France since 2018.

Volotea becomes a full-fledged Airbus carrier in 2021. The airline, which had programmed the standardization of its fleet for 2023, accelerated this transformation in order to improve its cost base within 3 years as well as its network thanks to more efficient aircraft with greater flight autonomy. The airline has operated a fleet of 40 aircraft since the summer of 2021 against 36 in 2019.
In terms of volume, Volotea increased its seat offer by 111% compared to 2019. Volotea employs more than 1,350 people in Europe and was the most competitive airline in summer 2020 in terms of activity, fill rate and customer satisfaction.
