New infection record in Norway
Figures for Wednesday are 2097 higher than on the same day last week.
according to VG For example, operational problems at the Norwegian Health Network have led to an unusually low number of cases being registered on 23 November, and a recovery was therefore expected for 24 November.
In the last seven days, an average of 2297 corona infections have been registered per day. The corresponding average seven days ago was 1859, so the trend is rising.
The previous peak was on 16 November and was 2552 corona infected.
Fewer in hospitals
On Wednesday, 232 corona patients were hospitalized. There were three fewer than the day before.
59 of the patients are in the intensive care unit, and among them 35 are on a respirator. There are just as many on intensive care and one more on a respirator compared with the day before, according to the Norwegian Directorate of Health’s overview.
At midnight on Thursday night, 8.3 million coronasters had been exported in this country since February last year. A total of 251,397 people tested positive.

To date, 4,229,770 people have received the first dose of the corona vaccine, 3,796,698 people have received the second and 401,398 have received the third dose.
A total of 1049 corona-infected people have died in Norway since March 2020, preliminary figures show. If patients have died of or with covid-19, it is not always possible to strike quickly.
59.4 percent of all deaths have reached the age of 80. In the age group under 50, 23 deaths have been reported in Norway.
