Notice to motorists taking the A13 motorway from Luxembourg, located at the border of Lorraine: a radar-section will soon be put into service.
In the test phase since September 20, 2021, it calculates the average speed of vehicles over the entire length of the Markusberg tunnel where the maximum authorized speed is 90 km / h. Unlike heavy goods vehicles which must travel at 70 km / h in the direction of Germany.
The second radar-section of the country
With a tolerance of 3 km / h on the calculated value for speeds above 100 km / h, the second radar-section of the country will begin to flash the December 1, 2021, announces the Ministry of Mobility.
The latter recalls that “speeding is the cause of most serious and even fatal accidents. The consequences are all the more dramatic in a tunnel which has a smaller size compared to the normal road ”.
