Slovakia has lost two places in the international corruption index
Slovakia is the fifth from the European Union countries since the end.
BRATISLAVA. Slovakia became worse in the international corruption index, when it fell from 40th place to 42. Of the countries of the European Union, the fifth from the end ended, only the worse are Croatia, Bulgaria, Hungary and Romania.
This is according to the latest Global Corruption Index, which was notified by the Office of Whistleblower Protection.
“Corruption is a global problem that even the most developed countries will avoid. We also have tools to fight corruption in Slovakia – companies and state institutions must have an internal system for reporting unfair practices and investigating the report honestly,” the office emphasized on the social network.
He reminded that corruption activities can often only be confirmed by anti-social whistleblowers. “That’s why it’s important to protect them and change the perception of notifications,” he said.
The aim is therefore to put the anti-corruption tools into practice, thus helping to eliminate the problem. “Therefore, we will monitor similar rankings and alert the institutions to the necessary system changes,” the office added.
