Day of action in healthcare on December 7 in Brussels and Wallonia against mandatory corona jab – Belgium
In French-speaking Belgium, the common trade union front is organizing a day of action on 7 December against the government agreement on mandatory vaccination in health care.
According to the health care workload in the sector, the health care workload in the sector will only increase, and the quality of care will also decrease. The sector is already struggling with a chronic staff shortage. The government’s plans are unacceptable to the unions, it sounds.
Several unions already have strike notices in the healthcare sector. From November 22 to 26, staff will be informed and mobilized in many Walloon and Brussels healthcare institutions. An action day is now being organized for the entire sector on 7 December.
Yesterday the federal core cabinet reached agreement on a regulation for compulsory vaccination in healthcare. From 1 January, healthcare staff will have three months to be vaccinated. Those who do not yet refuse to do so are given permission and immediately receive full unemployment benefits, or are suspended without pay.
