According to the police, the 15-year-old from Lungau was in a chase with officials. Nevertheless, the young person tried to escape arrest by fleeing.
The boy drove first in the direction of Lessach and then on a dirt road in the municipality of Göriach. There he fell. The driver of the patrol car, it was a VW bus in which two other officers were sitting, could not stop in time. Despite emergency braking and an evasive maneuver, he was no longer able to prevent the collision with the moped and his driver, the police say. The vehicle collided with the moped and the teenager. Any help came too late for them.
