Castelnaudary. Two Chauriens exhibited in Toulouse
Two Chauriens are currently exhibiting in Toulouse: the works of Stéphane Pillmann and Philippe Parizot are hung on the picture rails of the musical workshop “L’Impromptu”, 6 rue du Sénéchal, a few meters from the Place du Capitole. These are two very different expressions that coexist remarkably on the red brick walls. The “succulents” for Stéphane Pillmann, drawings of potted plants, like botanical prints: “These are painted drawings, enhanced with dry pastel and black pen. Drawings like plants travel, they are gifts, purchases, cuttings taken from everywhere, usually placed on the steps leading to the garden, they came into the house to be drawn and, this winter, they will be placed in the greenhouse “.
Philippe Parizot lives and works in Bayonne, he sometimes cooperates with Xabxab for large-scale projects in the Basque city. He works in a spontaneous and graphic manner, it is a play of lines and masses that interlock organically, from the infinitely small to the infinitely large.
