Paracelsus Bad Salzburg and BTV Vorarlberg awarded aluminum architecture prize

Vienna, Salzburg, Dornbirn (A) The Aluminum Architecture Prize 2020 of the ALU-FENSTER joint brand, announced by the Aluminum Window Institute, the Austrian Architecture Foundation and the IG Architektur, was awarded to two (!) Winning teams of architects for properties in Salzburg and Vorarlberg for the first time in October 2021.
Berger + Parkkinen Architects, together with SIG Stadt Salzburg Immobilien GmbH and the metal construction company Saller from Bischofshofen, were victorious for the Paracelsus Bad in Salzburg.
The team of architects RAiner Köberl, together with the client BTV and the metal construction company Jobarid, received an award for the BTV bank and commercial building in Dornbirn.
The prominent jury praised the successful use of materials, among other things. In the BTV bank and commercial building, the use of metal is well chosen and appropriate to the construction task: the bright aluminum slats convey lightness and solidity at the same time. “
For the twelfth time, the renowned Aluminum Architecture Prize honored innovative, outstanding architectural achievements that demonstrate the design and technical possibilities of aluminum profiles and document the durability of aluminum applications.
