Paolo Conticini in “The first time” at the Teatro Verdi in Pisa
It is the second appointment of the Prose Season conceived by the artistic director Silvano Patacca in collaboration with the Toscana Spettacolo onlus Foundation.
Paolo Conticini, a well-known face of cinema and TV, reads, sings and tells a little about himself: his family, his studies, his first works, then the meeting with Christian De Sica, which gives him the opportunity to express himself as actor… it is only the beginning of an ever-evolving artistic path, full of satisfactions in cinema, on TV and in theater. Between one anecdote and another, Conticini reads and tells his first times, but it is as if he were telling the life of all of us: his first times, they are our first times, his doubts, they are ours, as well as missed opportunities and small satisfactions.
Incredible coincidences that tell credible things. Favorable astral conjunctions that have determined unique events, the so-called sliding doors that each of us has encountered in life, which have unconsciously built the backbone of an original life. The actor confides in us his insecurities, shows us his fears and frailties, allowing us to see what’s behind the image of the handsome and athletic actor, and makes us discover the human being so similar to “that our friend next door ”.
Fun, poetic, dramatic experiences that make us reflect on how surprising life is. Conticini also shares another passion of his with the public, singing. He proposes some songs that have a particular meaning in his world and that confirm his skills as an artist at three hundred and sixty degrees. A brief and ironic review of a man who at fifty learned to make his life what he always dreamed of, and halfway through his journey he courageously chooses to share his experiences, his mistakes, and play at making plans for the future, because aware that in life nothing is easy but nothing is impossible. A music stand and a guitar, stories and songs, the main and light ingredients of a performance of about eighty minutes, in which the Pisan actor makes us temporarily forget a difficult historical moment for the whole world.
With irony, the extraordinary protagonist will enchant and entertain the public, confirming his skills as an artist at 360 degrees. On the occasion of the first performance, Saturday 20 November, at 6 pm, in the “Titta Ruffo” room, Paolo Conticini will meet the public, leads Francesca Petrucci, also presenting her book, “I loved everything”, Pacini Editore and Ellebook Edizioni.
