She was inspired by Grace of Monaco for her wedding dress
Paris Hilton got married in a stunning white dress reminiscent of the one Grace Kelly wore to her wedding to Prince Rainier of Monaco. The bride has thus realized her childhood dream: “to be elegant” like the future Monegasque princess, she wrote on Twitter.
Paris Hilton was married on November 11 (21) to her fiancé Carter Reum at the property of her missing grandfather, Barron Hilton, in the Bel-Air neighborhood of Los Angeles. The bride walked down the aisle in a white high-neck floral appliquéd dress designed by Oscar de la Renta’s Fernando Garcia and Laura Kim. The set was reminiscent of the elegant lace dress that actress Grace Kelly wore when she married Prince Rainer III of Monaco in 1956.
“Ever since I was little, I dreamed of my fairytale wedding. I dreamed of being in a dazzling, beautiful, timeless and chic dress. I dream of marrying a man who was my best friend and who had the sweetest and kindest heart. I loved Princess Grace Kelly. I always thought she was so stylish and iconic, and I knew I wanted to be stylish like her when I walked down the aisle, ”she wrote on Twitter, captioning a photo where she poses in the dress at the wedding venue.
“On my wedding day, I felt pure magic. It was everything I imagined in my mind. My amazing @OscarDeLaRenta dress turned me into the bride I knew I would someday become. It was straight out of a storybook. Dreams come true, ”she continued.
The groom, Carter Reum, looked stylish in a bespoke navy Ermenegildo Zegna tuxedo.
Paris Hilton did not settle for just one outfit for her big day. She also wore a Galia Lahav tulle ball gown for the first dance, an Oscar de la Renta mini dress for the reception, as well as an embellished gown with a crystal-set cape by Pamella Roland for the party.
