Is Jake Paul good for boxing?
The DAZN Boxing Show discussed whether people are losing interest in Jake Paul ahead of his match with Tommy Fury.
The celebrity couple will meet on December 16 in Florida for Fury’s second state match. Fury is nominally a professional boxer to its industry, but has made much of its reputation on the back of a Love Island appearance.
Similarly, Paul is better known for his activities on YouTube than his boxing ability, but both are undefeated in their careers so far.
It will end in December for one of them, and Barak Bess and Akin ‘Ak’ Reyes discussed Paul’s position in boxing.
Barak asked: “He is good at doing a lot of promotion outside the ring. But on a scale from one to 10 What is your interest in this particular fight between Tommy Fury and Jake Paul?”
Ak was ambivalent about the prospects and replied: “I was interested when this fight was first announced because it really was the first boxer that Jake Paul will face and we all want to know what it looks like.
“We’re talking about a boxer who’s with the world heavyweight champion in Tyson Fury, he can give them all the advice in the world. But I’m losing interest. I do not know. I’m not as interested as I used to be. Now. I likes the whole Spirit Airlines joke, he’s nimble when it comes to trolling as you always say.
“Maybe his trolling will keep people interested enough to set up that match night, and I might be one of those fighting fans. But I think Jake is good at boxing in many other ways.
“What he has done for Amanda and just the new eyes he brought to the sport.”
Barak agreed and told Ak: “He definitely bought it. So listen, everyone who is from boxing will tell you that every time Jake Paul fights there is a different audience. So it is proof that he brings different And while he’s fighting he has people like Amanda Serrano, Regis Prograis, guys like that on his undercard and I’ll tell you now, Jake Paul is good for boxing, whether you like him or not.
“He gets paid legitimate boxers, and what he’s done for Amanda Serrano, I’ll always appreciate that. And that’s why I know he’s good at boxing.”
