Élise Vigier will be present in the programming of the Festival d’Avignon 2022 with the play, Anaïs Nin au mirror by Agnès Desarthe. A production of Les Lucioles Rennes, La Comédie de Caen CDN de Normandie. A meeting with the public is scheduled for Tuesday 23 November at 7:30 p.m.

In a theater, actresses rehearse music hall numbers. They are preparing a show around Anaïs Nin. They wonder about this woman writer. She is free, intrepid, provocative, exhibitionist and they have only one hatred: to start a dialogue with her. And the magic operates, Anaïs is there. It invades the space of the stage, is embodied in each of the actors and redistributes the cards of the present, of reality, of desire and of attachments. Élise Vigier suggests that we both feel the author’s concern and let ourselves be taken in by this comedy resulting from chaos. A way of being in front of the mirror that the past never ceases to hold out to us.

Actress and director, Élise Vigier trained at the École du Théâtre national de Bretagne. In 1994, with her promotion, she created the Les Lucioles collective. Since 2015, alongside Marcial Di Fonzo Bo, Elise Vigier has been an associate artist at the direction of the Comédie de Caen CDN de Normandie and from 2017 to 2019, associate artist at the Maison des Arts de Créteil. Élise Vigier has, among other things, co-signed three pieces with Marcial Di Fonzo Bo: M for Méliès who receives the Molière for the show Jeune public,

The Kingdom of Animals by Roland Schimmelpfenning and a second youth show around the figure of Buster Keaton. In 2017, she met Harlem Quartet on stage based on the novel by James Baldwin. In May 2021, she directed, at the Plateaux Sauvage in Paris, The world and its opposite – Portrait Kafka by Leslie Kaplan.
