Pingo Doce delivers donations to 119 projects in the Lisbon district
On Thursday, Pingo Doce delivered the donations of the “Programa Bairro Feliz” to 119 projects in the district of Lisbon, elected through customer voting, with 432 causes supported by institutions or groups of neighbors.
In a statement, Pingo Doce said that the social responsibility program took place in 119 stores in the district of Lisbon, which now finance the implementation of the causes most voted for by the residents of these neighborhoods.
Among the winning causes are, for example, the purchase of disposable essentials for Refood 4 Bom, elected at the Pingo Doce de Alvide, which aims to continue supporting around 200 people with financial needs weekly, or the holding of a solidarity show whose revenue will revert in full to the acquisition of essential goods for the most needy families, the winning cause at Pingo Doce in Torres Vedras.
“We also highlight the donation given to the Humanitarian Association of Sintra’s Volunteer Firefighters, whose cause was the vote in Sintra’s Pingo Doce, which participated in the Program with a view to acquiring a fire-fighting ladder to re-equip the urban firefighting vehicle to fireworks”, is referred to in the note.

We would like to thank our entire neighborhood for joining this initiative, which reinforces the purpose of this Program, “says, in a statement, the director of Sustainable Development and Local Impact, Filipa Pimentel.
