Third dose, San Marino ready to use Pfizer for vaccinated with Sputnik
New cases of Coronavirus are also on the rise in San Marino and the Republic, where the majority of the population has been vaccinated with Sputnik, is developing the strategy for third dose on those immunized with the Russian vaccine, after the Aifa gave the green light to administer a booster dose with Pfizer or Moderna for those who have completed the cycle with vaccines not recognized by Ema, just like it Sputnik or Chinese Sinovac.
Green pass to those who receive the booster within 6 months
The last word now belongs to the State Congress
, which was in fact waiting for the AIFA decision, according to which the Italian Ministry of Health today issued a continuation that provides, among other things, as explained by the minister Roberto Speranza, the granting of green pass “to those who have completed a non-Ema vaccination cycle and who within six months will have a booster with Pfizer or Moderna“. It’s a decision that affects all of those too Chinese vaccinated with Sinovac and which are found today in Italy. The circular in fact provides that subjects vaccinated abroad with a vaccine not authorized by Ema may receive a booster dose with m-RNA vaccine starting from 28 days and up to a maximum of 6 months from the completion of the primary course.
On November 8 off to the heterologous
Returning to the Republic of the Titan, the third administrations have actually already started last week and are 83 guests of retirement homes and state hospital health workers, immunized almost a year ago but with Pfizer, who received the booster. For those who had received the double dose of Sputnik, the authorities consider that for on November 8, when the vaccination campaign will restart, you can start with “heterologous” vaccination. San Marino has in fact a good availability of Pfizer vaccines at home, while if there was an internal request for a Sputnik Light “booster” (so called the recall of the Russian vaccine) a new supply directly from Moscow would be necessary.
The green pass knot has been dissolved
On the Titan, 83% of the vaccinable population (30,236 people) was immunized; about 5 thousand people are missing, among these many recovered and some who are improperly resident, but at least a good 10% is against vaccines and chose not to. With the third dose, San Marino will also solve another problem, that of the green pass for which, at the moment until the end of the year, they have collected from Italy an extension of the exemption even if Sputnik vaccinated. The circular of the Ministry of Health also provides that, once the maximum term of 6 months from the completion of the primary course with a vaccine not authorized by Ema has been exceeded, as well as in case of non-completion, it is possible to proceed with a complete primary vaccination course with a vaccine m-RNA, in the relative authorized dosages.
