Expo 2020 Dubai is the very first world exhibition where each participating country has its own pavilion.
Each of the 192 country pavilions – spread across the three main districts Sustainability, Mobility and Opportunities – will have the chance to showcase their innovations and strategies.

Here is a glimpse of another eight of the 192 pavilions at this year’s event.
Sweden
Location: Sustainability District | Architect: Alessandro Ripellino
The Swedish pavilion, dubbed the forest, has used alternative materials instead of concrete and steel.
Guests can walk through paths flanked by tree trunks and understand how the country develops smart cities, creates next-generation travel, innovative life sciences and constructs a biocircular economy. Visitors can also enjoy Swedish original coffee in the pavilion.
Kuwait
Location: Sustainability District | Architect: Marco Pestalozza
Discover the cultural richness of the Kuwaiti people through an immersive experience of music, song and poetry. The pavilion is located in the sustainability district and hosts “The Spring of Life”, an architectural element inspired by the country’s vision for sustainability. At the same time, a shimmering façade – The Envelope – encapsulates the country’s nature and energy.
Sierra Leone
Location: Opportunity District | Architect: Thematic District Pavilion
Discover one of West Africa’s destinations and experience its rich natural resources and eagerness to explore innovative, sustainable development. Enjoy the story of the country’s diamonds while the children can play with several themes and costumes in the children’s area.
China
Location: Opportunity District | Architect: Construction Engr. Design
The pavilion, called “The Light of China”, resembles a traditional Chinese lantern, representing brightness, favor and happiness. One of the largest pavilions at Expo 2020 Dubai of 4,636 sqm, it is designed in line with the principle of “the combination of Chinese and Western culture with Chinese culture as the core”.
Visitors can also experience domestic innovations such as 5G, AI and smart travel at the fair.
Canada
Location: Sustainability District | Architect: Moriyama & Teshima
Canada’s approach has been inspired by its commitment to embrace diversity, inclusion, human rights and gender equality.
Canada Expo 2020 theme, The future in mind, acts as a platform to promote opportunities from the country’s provinces, territories and cities.
The pavilion is divided into three sections and consists of a 360 ° immersive theater that shows Canada’s history, a VIP section for business meetings and conferences and an office space for staff.
Belgium
Location: Mobility District | Architect: Assar / Vincent Callebaut
The 500 square meter pavilion provides an insight into the future of Belgian mobility technologies and innovations. Visitors as they enter the pavilion are welcomed by six Belgians who showed extraordinary achievements in mobility.
Guests can also watch the sunset and enjoy snacks on the rooftop terrace. Alternatively, they can enjoy local specialties at the brasserie or enjoy french fries and waffles from its take-away kiosk.
Mexico
Location: Mobility District | Architect: Capital Engineering
With Mexican flowers and monarch butterflies throughout the pavilion, guests can experience a journey of mobility, migration, exchange and strength throughout the life cycle.
Visitors can enjoy the country’s artistic creation, literature, music, photography, dance, theater and movies, while also offering local Mexican cuisine.
Pakistan
Location: Opportunity District | Architect: Al Jabal Engineering
“Pakistan: The Hidden Treasure” highlights the unique range of the South Asian economy, unknown to many. The story of the pavilion reflects how the country’s past, present and future are intertwined, showcasing its culture, people and traditions.
Guests can enjoy gastronomic delights at the restaurant “The Dhaaba”, which offers a sublime version of the country’s street food. Visitors can also remove a piece of the country by shopping for cultural monuments found at the bazaar.
