Odette: I liked borsch from Russian cuisine. For the first time in my life I added sour cream to the soup
Vityaz forward Daniel Odette about the performance in Russia.
“Team B are most of the players Russian? When I played Finland, I think it was a good preparatory stage. Then before Christmas I was the only Canadian on the team and used to communicate with people who are in different languages. At Vityaz, I am in a similar position. Over time, you learn to make friends in such a situation and build relationships, even if there is a communication barrier. That is why legionnaires are always comfortable to stick together.
Russian language? Favorite cuisine? I use classic greetings and have learned some words that are used every day. Oddly enough, I memorized the numbers pretty quickly. From Russian cuisine, I definitely liked borscht, at some point it was in every meal I took. For the first time in my life I added sour cream to the soup!
Russian cities? During the short time that we spent there, Novosibirsk seemed to be a very beautiful place. The central part of the city near the river stands out especially, ”Odette quotes the KHL’s official website.
