Marseilles. Three years after the drama rue d’Aubagne, the inhabitants of the district organizing the tributes

Three years ago, a drama affected the rue d’Aubagne in Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône), in the Noailles district.
The collapse of two buildings killed 8 people, plunging the city into an unprecedented crisis. Two months later, “the Molotov”, a concert hall a stone’s throw from the disaster site, filled with a crowd of unusual composition for a place where rock or metal groups usually come to play.
Families, men and women of all ages come together to discuss their future, speak out and be a part of their experience. These are the dislodged from Noailles, brought together by the “Collective of November 5 Noailles angry”.
The three years of the disaster commemorated Friday November 5
This Friday, November 5, 2021, this same collective, accompanied by other Marseille associations, commemorate the 3 years of the disaster by paying tribute to Chérif, Niasse, Taher, Fabien, Simona, Julien, Marie-Emmanuelle, Ouloume and Zineb.
See you on the infamous place of November 5 at 8:30 am for a shared breakfast and coffee followed, half an hour later, by a minute of silence.
A procession will leave from this same place towards the Marseille History Museum, at 10:30 am The Museum will host the‘inauguration of the “Take Place” urban planning project proposed by “Noailles Debout”, at 11 o’clock. A consultation mechanism intended to better take into account the wishes of the inhabitants, before initiating public development works.
Saturday 6 November
Saturday November 6 will be more festive with the ninth Agora of Noailles, organized at the top of the street, by the inhabitants of the district from 10 am. The Marseillais participate in a public kitchen from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and then, share a collective meal.
the cinema le Gyptis, located 136 rue Loubon in the 3rd arrondissement, broadcaster “The Battle of the Plain”, a documentary on the work of the market place. A debate on the new version of the “Relocation charter” signed unanimously by the Municipal Council on October 1 will be organized by various associations not Primitivi, the association that made the documentary.
