Lazebna announced the cost of introducing a funded pension system in Ukraine
The introduction of the accumulative pension system in Ukraine only in the first year of its operation will require from the state about UAH 22 billion of additional funding from the budget.
This was stated by the Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Maryna Lazebna, November 2 informs Interfax-Ukraine.
“One of the proposals of the Ministry of Finance is co-financing of the accumulative level with the SSC and the state budget by 1% in the first year of introduction of such a level, 1.5% in the second and 2% in the third. And each percent, according to their proposals, will cost 22 billion UAH “ she said.
The Minister noted that the amount is calculated based on the draft state budget for 2023 and the model according to which the mandatory funded pension will be introduced for Ukrainians over 55, including individuals – entrepreneurs and self-employed all Ukrainians.
It also undertakes to provide Ukrainians with the opportunity to make voluntary contributions. For each such contribution, the state is obliged to make an equal contribution, but not more than the established limit of 3% of the average wage in the country.
