The “Night of 1,000 Lights” in Salzburg
The “Night of 1,000 Lights” was again organized by the Catholic Youth (KJ).
Philipp Blüthl, honorary chairman of the Catholic Youth Salzburg, emphasizes the special commitment behind the event: “Just like the many candles that light up common churches and chapels, young people die together to help organize this evening.”
Young people in action
In the Salzburg parish church of St. Andrä on Mirabellplatz, candlelight and live music awaited young and old. Together with his wife, Franz Bauer from Salzburg played meditative sounds for the visitors. The special thing about it: the theologian built all the instruments used by himself. There were also various Bible passages, stories and bottles of holy water to take away.
From St. Michael to Seekirchen
14-year-old Viktoria from St. Michael im Lungau was a young volunteer who organized the “Night of 1000 Lights” in her parish. She says: “It was really great that people noticed what we had organized and designed here. I think it’s nice when someone asks me what we thought about a station and also when someone thanks us. “Stefan Lochschmidt, pastoral assistant from Seekirchen, is also happy about the success of the evening before All Saints’ Day in his parish:” You really felt that people were dying and needed peace and quiet and the atmosphere. “
