Alois Neumayr analyzes SV Innsbruck against Kitzbühel
Round 17 of the Regionalliga Tirol and for both teams also the penultimate game in 2021. SV Innsbruck welcomes FC Eurotours Kitzbühel and both teams don’t want to give each other anything. In the first half of the season Kitzbühel was able to win 4-1 at home against SV Innsburck, whereby Wörndl scored twice, Baur once and Pauli once, and Peitner scored for Innsbruck.
After Kitzbühel played 4: 4 against Imst, they naturally wanted to score fully against Innsbruck. The clear favorite was of course Kitzbühel! Kitzbühel was the dominant team from the first minute of the game and it was clear that you want to play against Innsbruck today and have to be able to play at the top.
Innsbruck in the sixth minute from twenty-three meters just over the goal – sometimes the game is disrupted by strong winds. Innsbruck was good at building up the game, but they couldn’t keep up with Kitzbühel. 8th minute: Counterattack by Christian Pauli, who fits Simon Viertler, the template then goes back to Pauli, who puts the ball through Diyar Bakir’s legs and thus puts Kitzbühel in the lead. Innsbruck had to change one twice at half time due to an injury. Double pack from Kitzbühel in minutes 25 and 38 by Simon Viertler, with the respective submission by Christian Pauli and Maurice Entleitner.
In the second half the scoring continued and you can tell that Innsbruck will have a hard time keeping up. SV Innsbruck always tries to play forward, which they succeeded, but the respective degrees were not dangerous enough, although they dared to do more in half-time. Then the next slap in the face of the Innsbruckers – a double pack within five minutes for Philipp Zehentmayer, who could convert two penalties in five minutes, Maurice Entleitner each play out through solo actions. Kitzbühel also had to change after almost sixty minutes after Maximilian Gruber was unable to continue playing due to an injury. Kitzbühel was able to score two more goals in minutes 64 and 77, made by Maurice Entleitner and Nebosja Vukovic.
For SV Innsbruck it was the next setback against a strong team from Kitzbühel, although SVI played well at times. Kitzbühel thus remains in fifth place and is one point behind SVG Reichenau and still has room for improvement in the last two games in 2021 against Fügen and the Schlager against Wörgl. Innsbruck has to hope that you don’t lose touch with the rest of the field and that you still have a lot of chances to show what Innsbruck can do.
