BiH delegation in Switzerland: We are opening up new opportunities for the BiH diaspora
The Minister for Displaced Persons and Refugees of the Entity of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH), Edin Ramic, visits the Bosnian diaspora in Switzerland.
During the visit, a meeting is planned with representatives of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) whose members come from BiH and who live in exile in several cities in Zurich, Lausanne and Basel. The visit is organized by members of the “Strength of Home” movement from Switzerland.
The first meeting took place in Lausanne, where representatives of the pro-Bosnian parties of the Republika Srpska (RS), Vojin Mijatovic, Camil Durakovic, Mirsad Duratovic and Sevlid Hurtic spoke together with Minister Ramic.
“We were in Austria, now we are in Switzerland and are already preparing other countries. With our arrival we open up new opportunities and possibilities for people who live here and who also express interest in certain activities in BiH. I present the work of the ministry in which we offer the opportunity to work in partnership on the projects we carry out. Some of the projects have already been successful in several returnees and are the result of a similar collaboration. We are aware that it is not enough, we must and should all do more, there is great potential in pooling the resources of BiH institutions and enterprising people who intend to invest where they left off. We are motivated by the people we meet here because they have retained the emotions and the desire to help their homeland, ”said Ramic.
Mijatovic is optimistic about the joint presentation and meeting around the third block.
“This is not a national community project. We are all citizens of BiH and behave with full respect. Our achievements and goals are greater than patriotic interest, whoever says that is not good is lying to you. We will show that we can represent our homeland with dignity and that is our ultimate goal, ”emphasized Mijatovic.
