Search for head of sports at 1. FC Köln: Christian Keller leaves his future open
Cologne –
Christian Keller will not comment on a possible move to 1. FC Köln. “I don’t comment on personnel rumors”, the outgoing managing director of the second division soccer club SSV Jahn Regensburg in an interview with Rundschau on Thursday. The day before, this newspaper had reported that the Donaueschingen native was one of the candidates for the vacant head of sports at the Bundesliga club.
Keller himself keeps a low profile. The sports scientist with a doctorate, who is also traded at VfB Stuttgart, wants to concentrate fully on his mission in the Upper Palatinate for the time being. This ends at the end of the month after eight and a half years at your own request. “Until Sunday I’ll be 100 percent Jahn Regensburg,” emphasizes Keller. “Then I would like to train my successor and thank my many companions and supporters.”
Afterwards, Keller plans a “longer break” in which he wants to think more closely about his professional future. In Regensburg, the 42-year-old was responsible for both the sporting and the commercial-administrative area. The FC board had also announced that they wanted to find a successor to Horst Heldt, who was dismissed in May, by the end of the year.
