The “journey” of the exhibition “Pisa in Miniatura”, the tourism promotion project of Confesercenti Toscana Nord in collaboration with the Municipality of Pisa, the Chamber of Commerce and Terre di Pisa, begins in Lucca. The dioramas, that is three-dimensional reconstructions that in our territory have a tradition that dates back to the first half of the nineteenth century with those made by Paolo Savi and preserved at the Museum of Natural History of Calci, of some of the most important monuments of the city were in fact protagonists at the Real Collegio di Lucca of the 13th edition of Buy Tuscany. “We are talking – explains the manager of the Pisan area of Confesercenti Toscana Nord, Simone Romoli – of the event organized by the Region of Tuscany and Tuscany Tourism Promotion to facilitate the meeting between regional tourist offer and national and international demand, which this year saw the presence of about 70 Italian buyers and 90 international buyers from major European and non-European countries, representing the most important Tour Operators “. “In the space dedicated to Pisa, we exhibited the models of Piazza dei Miracoli, the Citadel, the church of the Spina, Piazza dei Cavalieri and the basilica of San Piero a Grado, made by the artist Edoardo Ceragioli. The monuments are made usable and accessible to all types of public, especially people with disabilities, thanks to the choice of representing them using small-scale handcrafted miniatures – concludes Simone Romoli -. To offer a complete experience, they were accompanied by bilingual information panels with historical and anecdotal content, by a tactile reading system for the blind, by a fragment of the real construction material to complete the path carried out during the exhibition “.
