Bern – Geneva 3: 2 nV
Crisis summit in the PostFinance Arena: SC Bern and Geneva-Servette met in the capital for the 11th and 12th of the National League. The «Mutzen», who recently suffered 3 defeats in a row, started with caution in the game and focused on the defensive. The game plan seemed to work: Thanks to Ramon Untersander, the Bernese went 1-0 into the first break. In the second round, the Genevans were able to turn things around: Henrik Tömmernes Durchgang (30th) and Daniel Winnik (39th) were successful for the guests. In the final third, the SCB made a lot of steam and came in the 52nd minute through Tristan Scherwey to the deserved compensation. In extra time, Scherwey scored the supposed winner, but the goal was denied due to a goalkeeper’s handicap. With the anger in his stomach, Scherwey then scored 3: 2 a few seconds later.
Lausanne – train 3: 4 nV
With the first chance, Lausanne took the lead against Zug. In the home stadium, Floran Douay made it 1-0 (2nd) with a deflector. Until the 2-0 win by Lukas Frick in the 14th minute, not much happened on the ice. Master Zug has shown a lack of concentration for a long time. The guests then got off to a better start in the middle third. Dario Simion was worried about the quick connection hit by distractor. Despite the increased chances of Lausanne, the EVZ was able to equalize the event shortly before the second break. Since both teams were successful in the third period, the affiche had to be decided in extra time. In the 62nd minute, Lino Martschini scored to win for EVZ.
ZSC Lions – Lakers 3: 4 nP
The game in the Hallenstadion started badly for the Lakers. Despite a better start, the team of coach Stefan Hedlund had to die with a 2-0 deficit in the first break. First Leandro Profico steered the target unhappily into his own goal (14th), then Denis Malgin hit in the power play (17th). The second third also began suboptimally for the guests: During 1:24 minutes, they were doubly shortened at the same time. But Rapperswil not only survived this tricky situation, but also got a goal through Jeremy Wick (27th). In the final third, the Lakers went well: Yannick Brüschweiler with a direct acceptance (52nd) and Zack Mitchell after a counterattack (54th) made the turnaround within 132 seconds. Without a goalkeeper, Die Zürcher was able to equalize the action 33 seconds before the end. In the end, the game had to be decided in a penalty shootout, in which Rapperswil had the upper hand.
Lugano – Ajoie 4: 1
The disaster for Ajoie in Lugano took its course early on. After a missed chance in a minority, the climber conceded the 0: 1 (4th) in direct return. After a one-two with Giovanni Morini, Troy Josephs only had to push into the empty goal. With a shorthander by Raphael Herburger (14th) and another power play goal by Luca Fazzini (26th), the home team increased before half of the game. In the end, the Ticino won 4: 1. While Lugano returns to winning ways after two defeats, Ajoie’s seventh consecutive defeat is the result.
Ambri – SCL Tigers 3-1
Ambri-Piotta prevails 3-1 against the Tigers in a close game. The Leventines in the middle third made the difference. After Harri Pesonen had shot the Emmentaler in the lead in the first third, Johnny Kneubuehler and Dario Bürgler ensured the 2-1 lead for the Ticino at the second break. In the final third, Ambri striker Daniele Grassi was among the goal scorers.
