Höhner cause a surprise – second front man known
The fifth season is just around the corner in Cologne: Before the carnival, the cult band Höhner Nonne hired a second singer alongside Henning Krautmacher. This also caused concern among fans.
The Cologne band Höhner starts with a well-known singer at the side of their front man Henning Krautmacher in the upcoming carnival session. Musician Patrick Lück will be on stage as another singer for the band at upcoming performances, as the Höhner announced on Monday.
Not only is the fifth season just around the corner, but also the 50th anniversary year in 2022 and a Christmas tour. Against this background and with a view to the future of the Höhner, they want to present themselves with another, new singer.
Cologne band starts the carnival with a second singer
Before the corona pandemic, the 44-year-old Lück performed as a freelance singer under the name Patric up to 100 appearances per year and is no stranger to the Cologne Carnival: He has long since made a name for himself at many foolish events, shares the Höhner with.
“We are looking forward to the upcoming time and can hardly wait to be on stage together!” Said the band on Facebook about their “seventh chicken” in the “Höhnerstall”.
“Henning Krautmacher is not allowed to go”
The fans commented with “Welcome!” and much success”. However, the announcement also caused concern among some. They worry about the previous front man Henning Krautmacher – and speculate about his future in the band.
“But Henning is not allowed to go yet, please,” commented one user. Another wrote: “I hope Henning will stay with us.” And: “That sounds like retirement soon. My Höhner heart is breaking.” The band themselves have so far left the speculation in the comments uncommented.
Krautmacher announced in the spring that he had a tear in his carotid artery. The singer apparently narrowly escaped a stroke.
