Covid-19: Portugal registers four more deaths and 883 new cases
This Saturday, Portugal registered four more deaths and 883 new cases of infection by covid-19, according to the latest bulletin from the Directorate-General for Health (DGS).
The deaths occurred in the North region and in Lisbon and Vale do Tejo.
Regarding admissions, there are fewer than 10 in the ward and five patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
In the last 24 hours, 729 more people recovered from the disease.

The 883 new confirmed cases increase the total since the beginning of the pandemic to 1,084,534 infected people, and in the last 24 hours 729 people recovered from the disease, increasing the total to 1,035,450 recovered.
This Saturday there are over 150 active cases, a total number of 30,955 cases, and over 146 contacts in surveillance, a total number of 21,077.
All regions of the country, including the autonomous regions, register new cases in the last 24 hours, but most are concentrated in the regions of Lisbon and Vale do Tejo (+329), North (+238) and Center (+187).
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 501,583 men and 582,210 women have been infected by the new coronavirus, and there are currently 741 infected of an unknown gender, remaining under investigation, as these data are not automatically communicated, explains the DGS in the daily epidemiological bulletin.
In Portugal, 18,129 people have already died due to covid-19, with the majority of deaths being concentrated in the age group of 80 and over.
