After sneaking into a house, a thief had to jump out of the window Thursday night and flee. Together with two women, he settled into a residential building in the city of Salzburg – the front door was unlocked.
Shortly after 4 p.m., two unknown women and an unknown man sneaked into a residential building in the Salzburg-Gneis district where the front door was unlocked.
The 82-year-old resident was happy to see the man on the upper floor and locked him in the bedroom, after which he called the police. During the emergency call, the stranger jumped out of the window on the first floor and fled.
A neighbor had seen the two women shortly before the crime and gave the police a good description of the perpetrator. An immediate search led to success and police arrested two women, aged 26 and 29, a few hundred meters from the scene of the crime.
The man is fleeting. The three are suspected of stealing jewelry in the five-figure range. The women had some of the booty with them. The Romanians are in custody. The search for the fugitive and further investigations are ongoing.
