In week 41, just over half of all coronary patients were vaccinated (56 per cent), according to the weekly report from FHI.
– Among the fully vaccinated who are admitted, there are several elderly and people with risk factors. Among the unvaccinated, there are several younger ones, says department director Line Vold in FHI.
A total of 198,909 people have tested positive for corona in Norway since March last year. Of these, 893 are dead. Almost six out of ten dead are over 80 years old.
Almost 4.2 million Norwegians have been vaccinated, and just over 3.7 million have been fully vaccinated, FHI’s vaccine statistics show. This corresponds to a share of 78 and 69 per cent of the population, respectively.
