October 22, Minsk / Corr. BELTA /. In the fight against the pandemic, Belarus is pursuing a policy of common sense. This was announced by political scientist Vadim Borovik in the “Editors’ Club” program on the TV channel “Belarus 1”, BelTA informs.
The political scientist noted that the Belarusian authorities have never promoted themselves on the topic of combating the coronavirus pandemic. All decisions, he, are made solely for reasons of common sense.
“The fact that we are not introducing severe restrictions today does not mean that we will not strengthen them someday. But we need to act on a situational basis,” said Vadim Borovik. If tougher measures are required, we will tighten them. ?
He is accused that both the government and the head of state are responsible for the situation. “The most serious attitude, – said the political scientist. – It is very important for us to maintain this policy of common sense in our country in many areas, as we do.”
At the same time, he drew attention to: many Western countries are angry with the approaches of Belarus, because the country is successfully coping with the situation without lockdowns and severe restrictions. “Everyone would have followed us, but they do not have the willpower and political honesty so that Belarus was right,” Vadim Borovik allowed. -0-
