Entry in motor vehicles and cycles will be authorized on Monday 25 and Saturday 30 October 2021 exclusively for elderly or disabled people with an authorization but, in any case, Sunday October 31, Monday November 1, All Saints Day, and Tuesday November 2, day of the deceased.
On Saturday, October 30, a one-way street will be set up at Saint-Véran Cemetery: entry through the central door and exit through the North door leading to Boulevard Fernand Serres.
Vehicles with drivers will be made available to users free of charge.
Passages between the graves will be left free and damaged and rubbish items will be placed in the baskets provided for this purpose.
Cleaning, weeding, painting and maintenance work … must be stopped on Monday, October 25 in the evening.
From this date, the benches and chairs in poor state of maintenance in front of the tombs as well as the objects, vases, boxes, etc … will be left in the passages, and any object presenting a state of dangerousness removed by the service maintenance of cemeteries.
The Regulations of the cemeteries of the City of Avignon also stipulate that the concession numbers must imperatively be engraved by the marbles on the funeral monuments.
Finally, it is indicated that cars can be parked on the site located on the edge of the south wall of the Saint Véran cemetery, avenue de la Folie, and the north gate, boulevard Fernand Serres.
During the period of great influx of visitors, the annex doors to the cemeteries of Saint Véran and Montfavet will remain open: from Saturday 30 October to Tuesday 02 November inclusive from 8:30 am to 6 pm.
Access for users and professionals within the cemeteries will no longer be authorized fifteen minutes before closing time (6.30 p.m.).
