It’s a new school that has just opened in Avignon, in the Vaucluse. Son but: help young people, long out of school, to reintegrate into the school environment and return to school or vocational training.
The establishment is located in the rue du passage de oratoire.
Eight young people aged 15 to 21 years old returned to school in September in this digital learning space, report France Blue Vaucluse.
The training offers French, history and mathematics lessons. These theoretical courses are combined with audiovisual workshops in a brand new radio studio and television studio.
Help young people in difficulty
The pupils are young people who have dropped out of school or who have had problems with justice.
“Not all young people find their place in traditional systems. The training that we offer makes it possible to mobilize these young people and to enroll them in a concrete pragmatic project”
They need to be taught some rules to return to school all the world of work afterwards. For this, they are supervised by Bérenger Fréhaut, an educator of the judicial protection of young people in Avignon.
In the teaching team, there is also a specialist teacher from national education, a professor of judicial protection of young people, a team of audiovisual technicians and a trainer of the Volt association.
