Benfica Lisbon – Bayern Munich 0-4
Bayern Munich remains flawless even after the third day of the Champions League. Away at Benfica Lisbon, Munich celebrate a hard-fought 4-0 victory. Although Bayern pushes from the start, the goals only fell in the second half. The outstanding Leroy Sané scored twice, Robert Lewandowski once. There was also an owner of Benfica’s Everton.
In the first 45 minutes, Bayern were rightly denied two goals by the VAR. However, it was anything but one-way street football: Benfica also had its opportunities – goalkeeper Manuel Neuer saved the German record champions with brilliant parades.

ManUnited 3-2 Atalanta
In the Champions League group with the Young Boys, Manchester United also wins their second home game after falling behind. Against Atalanta Bergamo, the “Red Devils” are even 2-0 down before they die in the second half.
The victory of coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team was well deserved. Appropriately, it was Cristiano Ronaldo who secured the victory with the late 3-2. The exceptional footballer hit in the 81st with a header from close range. Until there, the English had far better and more chances to die than Atalanta. So Marcus Rashford and Scott McTominay met the bar and the post once each.

Salzburg – Wolfsburg 3-1
Salzburg is getting closer to the knockout phase in the Champions League with long strides. With a 3: 1 at home against Wolfsburg, Salzburg get points 5 to 7 in the third group game – also thanks to the double goal scorer Noah Okafor.
The Basel U21 international is becoming more and more a secure asset and a fixed figure at Salzburg. The 21-year-old striker hit the bar early on in the 1-0 lead. From the middle of the second half he was happy to make the 2: 1 and the 3: 1 within twelve minutes.
In Group G with Wolfsburg, Sevilla FC and French champions Lille, Salzburg seemed to be the weakest team on paper. But after three of the six rounds everything points to the opposite.
