We put 4 questions to Carlos Gouveia, CEO of SCORING.
What are your expectations for this edition?
We are convinced that this is a certification that was necessary for the market, which explains the very strong growth of registered companies that were verified.
We are going through a difficult time, the COVID-19 pandemic has brought great challenges to companies. For this reason, more than ever, it is important that they affirm their financial sustainability, generating trust among their customers, suppliers and employees. Obtaining a SCORING financial certification, independent and with a guarantee of accuracy, and being able to communicate it in a variety of ways, is an excellent way to generate trust and credibility.
How are companies evaluated? What guarantees of rigor and exemption do they present?
The evaluation of companies is carried out based on the analysis of the IES (Simplified Business Information), based on the method developed by SCORING, scientifically validated by university professors holding a PhD in management and audited by Bureau Veritas, with the classifications deposited in ASSOFT: a process that exemption from exemption and rigor in the certifications awarded.
In order to award a “TOP 5% Best SMEs in Portugal” certification, a SCORING determines the Economic Performance and Financial Strength indices of all companies that meet the access requirements. Entities that obtain a rating of “5 – Excellent” are eligible for a “TOP 5% Best SMEs in Portugal” certification.
How can companies communicate a certification?
For all certified companies, a SCORING presents a set of communication resources: a personalized digital seal, with the company’s name and VAT, and a personalized image related to the “TOP 5% Best SMEs in Portugal” certification, which can be used in the email signature, no website and no stationary for the company and its social networks.
The SCORING certification also includes the issuance of a certificate and financial report, proof of the analysis of accounts and calculated values and disclosure in SCORING channels: in the directory of certified companies toppme.pt/empresas and on social networks (Linkedin and Facebook).
