The journalist asked Zelensky, who was made after the court’s decision on the round-the-clock arrest, which had hints or direct proposals from the Russian Federation to introduce Medvedchuk, to leave him alone in exchange for certain demands from Ukraine.

Zelensky’s answer that such hints from the Russian Federation cannot be, accordingly Medvedchuk – the citizen of Ukraine, and the Ukrainian legislation will address to him. Nevertheless, the president allowed Ukraine to reconsider such a proposal as Medvedchuk had Russian citizenship.

“On the other hand, if Russia confirms that Mr. Medvedchuk has Russian citizenship – so to speak, for example, it is quite possible – then I would be happy after this confirmation or want to come across the possibility of exchanging Medvedchuk for real heroes and citizens of Ukraine,” which are not found in Ukraine, “Zelensky said.
