Reyer Venezia will make its debut in the EuroCup 2021/2022 on Wednesday 20 October at 20.00. On the first day of group B, the opponents of the Italian team will be the French of Bourg-en-Bress in a challenge that promises to be really full of emotions.

The Venetians did not start the new season in Serie A in the best possible way (net defeats with Milan and Virtus Bologna and victory against Cremona and Treviso) and therefore have the “obligation” to seek redemption in the European field. On the other side of the field there will be a really fearsome team that in the last EuroCup twice overtook the boys of Walter De Raffaele and that in this new year he started the championship with three wins and only one defeat.

Remember that the format will no longer be the same as last season. In fact, there will no longer be the 2 phases followed by the direct elimination, but first the 20 participating clubs divided into 2 Italian groups of 10 teams, with 18 matches in the group, and then a subsequent second phase (to which the first 8 will access of each group) where there will be knockout matches with round of 16, quarterfinals, semifinals and finals on a single challenge at home of the best-ranked team at the end of the first phase.
