Meanwhile, Rapid has carelessly gambled away their first away win of this Bundesliga season. Due to the 1: 1, the Carinthians remained third in the table at least until Sunday, Rapid is seventh.

At Austria, there is also work behind the scenes. The club has until Wednesday to submit the annual financial statements or a liquidity report to the league. The Viennese were granted a grace period. As the board member Gerhard Krisch emphasizes, they are “working flat out to submit the required documents to the league”. Krisch also confirmed that talks with potential investors have resumed. “Getting a deal with an investor will take a while. But it is our goal to achieve a principle commitment by the repeated year-end, ”he said to the APA.
