Open questions
With all the anticipation for the pre-Christmas offer, there are a large number of open questions about the subject of corona restrictions. The Stadtblatt editorial team has collected the most important questions and sent them to the people to answer.
Security tapes
“Anyone who has recovered, vaccinated or tested receives a tape – and with it Kiachl and Co.” This is the current motto for visiting the markets. Those who just walk through ARE NOT checked, whoever stands and consumes could be checked by the police. Many details are still open:
- Are there central offices with multilingual staff, especially for tourists, with the issue of these tapes, e.g. Maria-Theresien-Straße, entrances to the old town, entrances to the market square, bus parking lot Fennerareal, etc.?
- Can shops also issue these ribbons for the sake of customer friendliness?
- Do the bands apply to all markets?
- Are there different tapes every day?
- How is the dispensing of beverages in pubs and standing with these beverages on the street handled, e.g. various pubs on Herzog-Friedrich-Strasse?
- Do the ribbons also apply to non-city Christmas markets, such as in St. Nicholas?
Issue of drinks and food
- Do customers have to wear masks when picking up food?
- Do the staff have to wear masks when serving food or drinks?
Controls
- What is the legal basis for the controls?
- What is the minimum and maximum penalty?
- Will teams of emergency services from Austria and Italy come together again as part of the cross-border cooperation between the police?
- Are these security measures published by the city in an ordinance?
Generally
- Do we have to reckon with an adjustment of the measures to the missing nationwide regulation?
- From which corona development (corona traffic light) is the implementation of the Christmas markets in danger?
