Alcohol and drugs: three drivers in a row caught in Salzburg
On Saturday night, the Salzburg police caught two drug drivers and an alcohol driver in a row.
The drunk driver saw a drug driver field and because of their driving style, a driver under the influence of drugs smelled strongly of cannabis from the vehicle, the police reported in a broadcast.
The first thing the police did was an 18-year-old who was driving his car in the middle of Lieferinger-Hauptstrasse. The police stopped the car, a drug test carried out on the driver gave positive results for THC and cocaine. During a search of the vehicle, the police surely surprised a small amount of cannabis. The driver’s license was taken from the German on the spot and he was forbidden to continue driving. He will be reported to the district administration and the public prosecutor’s office.
After the inspection of the 18-year-old, a 39-year-old driver passed the patrol. Since the vehicle smelled strongly of cannabis, the police drove after the vehicle and stopped it on Lieferinger-Hauptstrasse near the Peter-Pfenninger-Strasse intersection. A drug test that was carried out was positive for THC. The driver’s license was removed, no further driving was prohibited and a complaint was displayed.
A short time later, a 39-year-old drove past the officers in her car at such high speed that she quickly collided with the guided control car. The police checked the driver and noticed a strong smell of alcohol. The driver refused to take the alcohol test, and the vehicle keys were removed from her. The driver’s license could not be removed because the Austrian did not have it with her. The woman is displayed.
The officers carried out several key checks on Saturday night. With regard to the tuning and roadrunner scene, the police raised 60 reports and other 22 mandates from the organs. 29 serious defects were found and license plates were removed from seven vehicles due to “imminent danger”.
