It sounds like a normal fire engine and looks like it, but it is fully electric. There is room for new firefighters. It is not only used in Berlin and Amsterdam, but also in Dubai, says Markus Schachner, Managing Director of Rosenbauer E-Technology: “Customers are currently testing these vehicles in real operation. They collect important data for us on how the vehicles are used. In Berlin we see that we can handle over 99 percent of our activities electrically. “
Hundreds of assignments in Berlin with electric vehicles
The Berlin fire brigade has already carried out 800 missions with the fully electric vehicle and it is also generating interest in Salzburg, says Schachner: “We have already welcomed someone from the Salzburg state fire brigade command at the exhibition stand who was very interested in all of the technical data of the RT- Vehicles. We are currently recognizing the clear trend towards electromobility in every major city. The fire brigade is no exception. “
