952 new infections in Switzerland
Coronavirus – Switzerland – In Switzerland and Liechtenstein, the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) received 952 new coronavirus infections within 24 hours on Friday. At the same time, the BAG registered seven new authorities and 22 hospital admissions.
A week ago, 968 new coronavirus infections were reported within 24 hours. There were also three new facilities and 20 hospital admissions.
For every 100,000 inhabitants, 143.62 laboratory-confirmed coronavirus infections were reported in the last two weeks. The reproduction number R, which indicates how many people an infected person infects on average, was 0.89 around ten days ago.
The utilization of the intensive care units in the hospitals is currently 74 percent. 14.9 percent of the available beds are occupied by Covid 19 patients.
A total of 10,291,600 vaccine doses had been delivered to the cantons and Liechtenstein by the evening before yesterday. This means that 10,825,881 cans were dispensed. 61.52 percent of the population is already fully vaccinated. So far, 6,724,553 certificates have been issued for fully vaccinated persons.
In the last 24 hours, 27,545 new corona tests were reported to the BAG. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 11,314,175 tests for Sars-CoV-2, the causative agent of the respiratory disease Covid-19, have been carried out in Switzerland and Liechtenstein, as the BAG further announced. There were a total of 854,590 work-confirmed cases of infection with the coronavirus.
33,280 people have so far been treated in hospital for Covid 19 disease. The number of cases in connection with a Covid 19 disease is believed to be 10,791.
