Green pass, the derogation in San Marino expires: renewal in the air
Not only does the mandatory green pass for public and private employees take off. At midnight on Friday 15 October the exemption expires from the green certificate for i San Marino people vaccinated with Sputnik that cross the border with Italy. Well, after weeks of fears and controversies it seems that the impasse has been resolved with one extension until 31 December of the same exemption. In early September the foreign minister Luigi Di Maio the hypothesis of the third dose with a vaccine approved by the EMA (Pfizer the only one in use in San Marino) for the citizens of the Titan immunized with the Russian serum had fan.
Without extension mandatory buffers
The official document is still missing, which should be signed and countersigned by the representatives of the two states but the health secretary of San Marino Roberto Ciavatta optimistic: We have received a guarantee – he declared – that the extension will arrive in good time so as not to have any gaps with respect to the current derogation. Contacts with the Italian authorities are continuous. For the record, the hope that the official will be decreed today: without an exemption, San Marino citizens would be equated with non-vaccinated Italians. Cross-border commuters could work in Italy only with the certification of the negative result of a swab and the same would apply to anyone who wants to go to the theater, to the cinema, to a restaurant in Italy.
