19 million Covid-19 tests have already been performed in Portugal
… another ‘milestone’. Since March 1, 2020, 19 million diagnostic tests have been performed in Portugal for Covid-19, announced this Wednesday, the National Health Service (SNS) on the official page on Twitter.
These data, which comprise the time period up to October 10th, include both the Molecular Nucleic Acid Amplification Tests (TAAN) and the Rapid Antigen Tests (TRAg).
In the message itself, the SNS also leaves an appeal: “Take the test and protect yourself and others”.
It should be remembered that 85% of the Portuguese population, more specifically 8,782,671 million people, has been fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
By regions, in a week in which Lisbon and Vale do Tejo (LVT) led, with over 22,185 doses administered, the North, Center and Alentejo stand out for having already surpassed the target of 85% of the population with a completed vaccination. Behind following the regions of LVT (83%), Algarve (79%) and the islands of Madeira of the Azores, both with 82% of the population with a completed vaccination.
Since March 1, 2020, 19 million COVID-19 diagnostic tests (TAAN + TRAg) have been performed in Portugal.
